Meteor Vapor Condensate - Rust color coating on rock in the impact area. This effect is one of the hottest surviving effects. Most artifacts at worst have been made shock liquid. The condensate was made shock gas. It fell over middle, TN but in the crater the rocks were hot and it coated those well. Some were in motion when coated.
Fresh road cut near Pulaski, TN iron layer. Often you see these iron exposures more weathered along middle TN road sides.
Condensate or a lateral push of explosion mass? From the condition of the general mixture this looks more like an explosion mass.
